There is plenty for the family to see and do during your stay with us in and around Tiverton.

The nearby Grand Western Canal has walks and one of the only horse-drawn barge canal barge rides. Tiverton has its own Museum showing the wealth of history of the area, and large archive material for ancestor tracing.

There are two National Trust houses in the vicinity, Knightshayes Court with its fine Gothic architecture and rare plant gardens and Killerton House with its costume museum and hillside gardens.

Rosemoor, the house is near Barnstaple.There are also many of Devon's open gardens nearby.

If you are keen on walking there is the Little Dart Ridge and Valley Walk linking to the Tarka Trail and Two Moors Way, a total of 11 miles through fabulous countryside.

For train buffs there is the Tarka Line from Exeter to Barnstaple, the South Devon Railway from Totnes to Buckfastleigh and the West Somerset Railway from Minehead to Bishop's Lydeard.

Children are well catered for with Diggerland at Cullompton, Dinosaur Land at Combe Martin and a wealth of beaches, caves and moors to explore. The coast of Lyme Bay is noted for its fossils and is a must for the beach comber.

There is also plenty of opportunity for golfers, cyclists, fishermen and horse riders, as well as wine and cider tasting.Devon's oldest vineyard Yearlstone is just 2 miles away, host of Devon Wine Week

We are near to Sampford Peverell,Bampton, Taunton, and the Devon County Showground at Exeter Westpoint.

There are many of the show groundsclose by including Bath and West, Stithians, Shepton Mallett, Axminster and Honiton.

Tiverton has it's own comedy club which is in the centre of town, just 1 mile away.

Exmoor's dark sky is just 30 minutes away.
